Hello Cyndee
So sorry to miss this great event. I want to thank you and the committee for all that you have done to reach out. I have enjoyed catching up with the class of 65. I regret that my schedule doesn't allow me to leave town. In retrospect, my years at Helix were among the most enjoyable of my life, so formative. I have been especially influenced by my fellow classmates who's positive and productive spirits have stuck with me for 50 years.
I have been deeply saddened to learn of those we have lost. As painful as it is to hear, I do appreciate knowing so that I can keep these wonderful people in my thoughts and reflect on their contributions. There is a quote I keep in mind as I get older; "Death is nothing more than a change of Cosmic Address." Those we have lost may very well end up being our spiritual guides as we follow life's inevitable processes.
As graduates we were challenged to change THE world. I am sure that at the very least we have collectively changed OUR world. I wish you all a great time at the reunion and know that the world we created is a better place than it would have been without the efforts of the Helix class of 65.
May we live a life worthy of repeating.
