Ron was one of my best friends during our senior year and for a year or two afterward, though we slowly grew apart. Many were the times we rode around in my old '49 Plymouth. I remember an eat-all-you can contest when we dared each other to eat as many pancakes as possible at some quickie restaurant on University. I don't remember who won, but I remember getting very sick afterward.
He was a funny guy. Oddly enough, I remember that he and I liked the original Beegees -- pre disco -- especailly New York Mining Disaster 1941 -- Have you seen my wife, Mr. Jones?
