I remember Walt, primarily because I always thought he was so darned cute!  I wasn't "available" because I was girlfriend to L. Lambert (and happily ignorant of the world around me).  But, in another setting, I would have been trying to flirt with Walt.  He was so nice to be around, tall and handsome, with a wonderful smile.  RIP, my friend...and blessings to your family...you are missed!  Gail

I remember Walt and his brother CAry, becasue we wwere all on the wrestling team. I agree with Gail that Walt was quite a hunk. He was also very quiet and easy to be around. Nice, unassuming, humblw. Overall, a good friend, though we weren't that close.

Ironically, several years after high school, I dated his cousin, Jolene, from Grossmont H.S. And Dave Holcombe dater her sister Denise.

Walt was a good guy.

I also remember Walt from the wrestling team, and agree completely with George that  Walt was soft spoken but always out going and a good guy to be around.

I met Walt when I was 16.  My best friend Nancy Vidal was dating Walt's best friend Jimmy Velazquez.  Nancy and Jimmy introduced us and we dated for 3 years. He was so nice, considerate, smart and really fun, that was a forever wonderful time in my life. Walt and I kept in touch through the years, from time to time, and I will miss him at the reunion. Jim and Walt remained best friends always.

Walt worked for the Otay Water District for 30 years and retired in 2004. He is survived by his wife Diane and daughters Colleen and Eileen.

As Gail Anderson said "Walt was a hunk" and I was the lucky one to have known and dated him.

May God be blessing you my dear friend,

Judy Ashley Moss

Walt and I were best friends from our days as cub scouts, through high school and even during our time of military service and after.  He and I traveled to different places around the country to go bowhunting.  He was always the comedian in a hunting camp.  With his dry humor he made friends with everyone in camp and always kept everyone laughing.  Our familes were very close.  My kids thought he was the best and always called him, Uncle Walt.  He was a great loving husband and incredible father.  He will always be missed but will never be forgotten.

Blessings my friend!

Jim
