I have a memory of Mary that may at least provide the year of her death. I was shopping at Grossmont Center at what seems to me now to have been very shortly...very shortly, as in just a few days...after graduation. We chatted for a bit -- like, what our plans were, etc. -- and then went on our way. And what also seems to me to have been a very brief period of time, I saw in the paper or the news that she had been killed in a car accident. So...according to what I remember, it was in 1965, not long after graduation. It made me very sad....I didn't know her well, but it was that strange feeling we would have when someone our age would die -- our lives weren't supposed to be over so soon, you know?
