Jean and I exchanged emails and such for the past few years. I never really spoke to her, but I wrote about her in my autobiographical novel "Horses Hoofs." I sent her a copy, but she did not comment on it. I think she was embarrased. She sent me unique birthday cards, and cookies one Christmas. I admired her from afar.
