Gayle was my big sister in our sorority at SDSU....we stayed in touch nearly until her death. She had three great children with her husband, Mike Kennedy. I have lost track of the family....but think of her often. Loved her very much!!!~Lynne Schlueter-Davidson.
Gayle was a dear friend of mine in high school and I was very saddened to hear about her untimely death. She was a wonderful person and I have wonderful memories of our high school times together
Gayle Garfield was like a sister to me. Our friendship continued after HS and college. She was an outstanding English teacher and a member of the National Charity League. She met her husband, Mike Kennedy, at SDSU’s Alpha Chi Omega house where he was a hasher. They had 3 beautiful children.
After HS while many classmates went to Washington DC, Gayle and I headed for Hawaii. We could stay 2 weeks in a nice hotel or 5 weeks in a dump. We chose the dump and had a blast being on our own for the 1st time.
Between our junior and senior year of college we traveled to 13 European countries, camping in a VW bus. Later she played an integral part in my wedding. Gayle loved to have fun; she was always up for anything and I miss her.
